What’s up guys, this is Der Mystik and I’m excited to tell you what my top ten of Electro House, Dubstep & Trap, Trance are, as well as the Overall Chart, with all music genres of EDM mixed in.
Let’s start with my Top 10 for Dubstep & Trap, you can buy all 10 tracks Here.
1. Calvertron – Make Some Noise (Original Mix)
I love this track, it comes from no one else by Calvertron, one the bass masters of this era. It also has a little Reggae there which makes it a big plus for me.
2. Alex Mind, Ryan Enzed and Sue Cho – Let It Go (Rude Antix Remix)
A well produced remix of one of my favorite tracks of 2013.
3. Velvetine – The Great Divide (Seven Lions Remix)
This wouldn’t be a Dubstep & Trap chart if Seven Lions were not mentioned here. I love it because it’s really melodic and has this ripping bassline that makes you nod your head no matter what.
4. Modulation – The Shire (Synchronice Remix)
5. Spekrfreks – Atoms (Original Mix)
6. Monsta – Holdin’ On (Skrillex & Nero Remix)
7. Feed Me – Rat Trap (Original Mix)
8. Ricky Vaughn – In Your Shadow (Original Mix)
9. The Bolivian Marching Affair feat Joey Michael – Feel You Move (Original Mix)
10. Reset! – I Need You (Spenda C Remix)
Next is my Top 10 of 2013 for Electro House, which you can get them all Here
1. Alex Mind, Ryan Enzed and Sue Cho – Let It Go (Original Mix)
I really love this track, I’ve played it loud at some parties to people who don’t even have a clue of what Electro House is and they have gone grazy to its rhythm and energy, that has to mean something. Sue Cho reminds a lot of Gwen Stefani in this track, such a flawless vox!
2. Sander Van Doorn – Joyenergizer (Lazy Rich Remix)
Two big icons of EDM in one single track, I was a fan of SvD when he was a Trance Dj (or considered one) and I’ve always been a fan of Lazy Rich, everything he touches becomes gold.
3. Pandaboyz – Rocket (Original Mix)
Do you want me to tell you who are the next big thing in Electro House? Pandaboyz ladies and gentlemen. Listen to that drop! LOUD…
4. Krewella – Live For The Night (W&W Remix)
5. Showtek – Booyah feat. We Are Loud & Sonny Wilson (Original Mix)
6. Tiesto – Adagio For Strings (Blasterjaxx Remix)
7. Back2Rave – My Sick Side (Original Mix)
8. Joman – New Dimensions (Original Mix)
9. The Kickstarts feat Moxiie – Ah Yeah ( Original Mix)
10. Vila Roel – Str8 Fire (Jan Waterman Remix)
Now the chart for the genre I love the most, Trance, this is the best of 2013.
1. Akku – Infinito (ASKII Cinematic Remix)
Thanks to this track, I found out about both Akku and ASKII, both great producers that have so much potential to become the next artists to carry Trance on their shoulders. This remix is special to me because it gave me the motivation and inspiration to produce again, plus it’s different than the regular epic trance sound.
2. Driftmoon & Andy Blueman feat. Dsharp – Exodus (Original Mix)
I was very sad to know that Andy Blueman had quit Trance when he announced it, it was a true lost to Trance as a whole, specially to Uplifting Trance fans like myself. So when he started reappearing again with tracks I was excited, but this one took the cake, to me, the best Blueman’s track to date, yes even better than his remix for Gaia’s Tuvan.
3. Airbase – Modus Operandi (Original Mix)
It’s a shame he doesn’t produce as much as he used to, but it’s always great to hear from this man, a legend of Trance music. Modus Operandi is a great progressive Trance tune, it has Airbase written all over it, anyone that listened to this track without knowing the title knew immediately that this Scandinavian producer was behind it.
4. Robert Vadney – A Day In Heaven (2013 Reboot)
5. The Noble Six – Discovering The Sphinx (Original Mix)
6. Serge Nevone & Simon O’Shine – Great expectations (Original Mix)
7. Der Mystik – Still Rockin’ Your World (Original Mix)
8. Kelly Andrew – The Incursion (Epic Orchestral Trance Mix)
9. Quest4Trance – Fire & Ice (Signum Original Remix)
10. Joer van Ray – Essence of the Moon ( Original Mix)
Last but def not least, is my Top 10 Chart Overall of 2013. I decided to it differently and put them as a Spotify Playlist for you to enjoy. ;)
