Rhamm Thrash
Rhamm Thrash is a young and talented Techno Dj/Producer healing from Sao Paulo, Brazil. With only 2 years after formed “Alternative Underground Mafia”, he is leading a national underground movement, he also has released 2 successful EP’s on Big Alliance Deep, now we finally had the chance to have a chat with this enthusiastic and dedicated artist.
SUM : Hello Rammon , thanks for taking the time to talk with us, How’s been 2014 so far for your career?
Hello World.. Yeah! I am excited by the achievements and highlights I got this year, I’m very happy!
SUM: Tell us how “Rhamm Thrash” came to be? How would you define your style and who/what are your musical influences?
Yes of course!, I consider myself as a Future groove producer! Following Electronic Music influences such as.. Electro, Dub, Techno, Groove and Experimental drums, currently I go for a futuristic composition and I find difficult to stay in one phat! haha I create everything I think and feel, I’ll explain:
I feel that my music is a mixture of imagination and emotion .. yeah, this prompt me in to an adrenaline rush, I also notice that in the dance floors when i’m playing, is Amazing! hm, I will say that my influence is the Universe.
SUM: Recently, you have released “B Polar EP ” which was a Techno oriented EP. Please describe shortly the creative process of the EP, what inspires you and what tools you use Software/Hardware that helped you to do this original productions a reality.
The creative process of the curiosity for a new sound was first done in my house then re done soon after in my studio. B Polar is one of my best works, this project showed aggression that translated in to Techno!, my mind was filled with large grooves and tried to experiment. I have 10,000 hits in my (Soudcloud) and now gaining more fans and exposure due to Big Alliance Deep which I call home. B polar is a modulated mix with some wonderful waves and the use of some frequencies cuts to create that strange line that screams like a giant of angry nature!

SUM: How many hours a day do you see yourself doing your magic in your studio?
Today I have some spare time to think more about what I would like to create. I like to concentrate for 6 to 8 hours a day to produce and those hours are in the evening, love the dawn primarily 03:00 am for me is the best time to think.
SUM: What feels more rewarding for you, music production or Djing?
I will not be hypocritical, I love the contact with the crowd, that’s huge for me!, those who know me, know how much I love play! … but my sentimental value is definitely towards the production of music.
SUM: What is the best or the craziest memory you have from a live event?
I have several memories, i got a gig in Angra dos Reis RJ Brazil in 2012 which changed my life!, played to 2,500 people and was massive! I screamed and screamed the crowd was crazy .. great grooves!, it was a lot of fun, what a super dance floor. I still also remember a girl putting her hand in my ass while I was playing, I always thought it was strange but the curious thing was that I was playing my Single ‘Techno Virus’ and I understood that was the reaction of Techno! (Laughs) .. and after… to the Beach! oh lord Thanks MUSIC PARADISE .. yeah Rafael Alves!
SUM: So far what you think has been the highlight of your career?
I will say this with a strong attitude, is has been exactly 2 years that I have been with my new crew and label ‘AMU13 & Alternative Mafia Underground’. My gut feeling say “I’m next” but not now!, the truth is that I wish to have more space and confidence on my country’s industry.
I want more confidence on stage, I’m new and I already have much of the market next to me, I’ll wait to get a full menu!, several options .. haha that’s my idea.
SUM: How do you feel the music scene in Brazil relates to the electronic dance community in the U.S.?
We are very close in the sense of ideas and imagination, Brazil is good party country and keeps growing, great artists from the United States play here and immediately fall in love, here the energy is hot and explosive!, I would love to perform in LA one day.

SUM: Please tell us more about your movement “Alternative Mafia Underground”, how it started and what it is exactly ?
Hey man this was a great alliance! I put together most of the people I love into this project. All began on 15 June 2013, 800 people were dressed in black, the way it looked! man, I found it amazing!,is clear that the idea came from me! crazy, when I arrived at Vinil Club.. damn, was amazing!.
We are currently working with the city of Taubaté, SP Brazil, to postulate ourselves for a future Electronic Music Festival in this town for next year. I had to take a lot of hot coffee, haha, I know that MTV has accepted our campaign and we have some progress, we are a movement created to ‘be’, we are pushing ourselves to be a future scene and of course next to my Label , staff and crew .. we are happy!
SUM: What is the status of the Techno scene in Brazil?
That’s incredible! how is leading by some mediocre producers who fantasize other productions. I hate when they take the soul of Techno!, they are fake and unique here and this is serious!
Brazil is a good country for Techno music, you can just come here and enjoy, will be a dream, I can assure you!
SUM: What would be a piece of advice that has helped you in your career?
in 2012 I had a contact with “Luthier” producers in the region!, Thiago came to me and give me some words of advise! it was rare!, I also had a talk with ‘Skazi in 2013 just after a show in Rio de Janeiro and I had the privilege to meet ‘Gustavo Mota and ‘DJ Mandraks that help me to take the right direction in my work with all the support .. all of them respect me and admire my production!, I feel good
SUM: What artist do you admire or feel lots of respect for their contribution to the Techno scene?
I make my list? (laughs)
DJ MANDRAKS, CHEB FIVE, GUSTAVO MOTA, FLEXB, FERNANDO LIMA, ANGY KORE, DOUBKORE, ALEX SENNA, FERNANDO TESSIS, JAMES DELATO, RAVI FORNARI, ANDRE LUKI, AQUALIGHT, TECHNO BROTHERS, DION RAVENNA and more!
SUM: If you could dis-invent one thing, what would it be?
Modulator! haha I love modulators! in the studio I attend in São Paulo has 2 .. I still think witchcraft (laughs)
SUM: What is one thing you always wanted as kids, but never got?
I wish I could Fly! and i could fly over the Pyramind .. , after passing that obstacle, I can achieve something in music!
SUM: Any Word for your fans ?
What I feel touches you!, think about what I say, reflect on my emotions without the fear of pain. My groove is the heat that you need to have and listen, transpire around it and forget, there is no failure that afflicts it, inject Techno!
