The former opera singer has firmly established herself in Dance Music both as a writer and a performer of exciting hits. After much work with local producers, the Kiev-based vocalist has successfully collaborated with a number of European artists, which in turn has promoted her entry onto the international music scene. Now she collaborates with western producers, releases joint works and she has finished the debut album which will release on the singer’s label “Natalie Orlie Music”.
SUM: Hi Natalie, thanks for joining us in this interview and share with the fans across the world a little more about you. How has 2013 been for you so far?
NO: I’m glad to welcome all the fans across the world and to share with some news. 2013 brought to me a lot of new acquaintances with talented musicians, new collaborations and songs and opening my own label «NatalieOrlieMusic»
SUM: What is your background as a vocalist, who was the first person to tell you that you can sing, at what age you began your career as a singer, and what type of vocalist you were before you got into Electronic Dance Music?
NO: I sing since childhood. I took part and won different singing competitions. I’ve sung folk, rock and classical songs before i got into EDM music.
SUM: What is your voice range? What type of music do you feel comfortable singing the most to?
NO: My voice range is 3 octaves. I like to sing soulful music, like trance, opera and house music.
SUM: Are you working on music right now? If so, which production are you feeling excited to finish right now?
NO: I’m working over two projects now: the 1st one is something like Enya or trance mix with semi classical vocals, and the 2nd one is progressive house, something like Kaskade. Both of them are still in process. I finished to work over the new song «Brilliant love», i love it and hope to show it soon to all .
SUM: If you had the chance to collaborate with two producers of your choice, who would they be and why?
NO: It’s not a simple question for me, because all producers whom i like are unique and to choose only two is not easy. But think my voice would fit Aly and Fila and Dash Berlin’s style ;)
SUM: Do you believe in God? Are you religious? What are your thoughts about science vs religion?
NO: I believe in God , but I’m not religious. Religion is an element of spiritual life of society, science – the progress engine.
SUM: If you knew nobody would judge you, or say a bad thing about you or thing badly about you, what would you do different than what you have done in the past.
NO: Of course it’s not pleasure to know that somebody judge you, It could hurt me in the past, but not now. It’s his own choice to hate me or to love.
SUM: Have you done anything lately worth remembering?
NO: I think, not. But i hope, once I’ll do it in the future ;)
SUM: When was the last time you tried something new?
NO: It was a year ago, I finished Dj courses
SUM: Are you single? If yes, why? If not, what is the one quality you love about your significant other the most?
NO: I’m married. Most of all I appreciate is loyalty and understanding.
SUM: How old are you?, How tall are you? and What shoe size are you?
NO: I feel myself 23 years old ;) My shoe size is 38 and I’m 1.67 m
SUM: Are you a good dancer?, Are you a good cook? Between those two, which one are you better at?
NO: I love dancing very much, it was one of my dreams to be a dancer ;) , and I’m not a bad cook, my husband loves what i cook for him, and i think that I’m better at cooking than I am in dancing, because i cook every day :) . I love to cook healthy food and cakes :D
SUM: How old are you last time to wore a Halloween costume and went out to ask for candy?
NO: My last Halloween was 2 years ago ☺ I had a performance on the gothic festival «Children of the night», but there weren’t any the candies :D
SUM: Do you prefer shopping at the mall or online? What stuff do you buy the most often?
NO: I love shopping and it doesn’t matter where to buy for me. But I don’t do it often.
SUM: Message for your fans?
NO: Never give up and live in each moment of the life!
