‘Crossfingers’ is an Italian producer/DJ duo formed in 2010 by Rey Vanguard and Niky Azard.
They know each other since 2000 and they started DJing at some local clubs, influenced by artists like Axwell, Michael Woods, Mark Knight, Daft Punk and many others. They started to produce some tracks with sequencers and analog synths.
Crossfingers’s musical culture is now strongly influenced by Deadmau5, Feed Me and Dyro, who have become their main landmark artists.
SUM: Hi Guys, thanks for giving us a moment, how are you holding up there ?
CF: Thanks for having us!
SUM: Very soon you will be releasing a big single “Falling Out” on Big Alliance Records featuring vocals of Danny Losito what can you tell us about it ? , what can the fans expect ?
CF: ‘Falling Out’ is a project born a few months ago to try to reach different generations, both youth and adults.
SUM: How was the creative process of this track ? , How you guys interacted with Danny Losito in the process ?
CF: We were looking for a strong voice and a text that had an immediate impact on everyone. So we contacted Danny, who is a master at writing lyrics and adapting them to any kind of sound/music . The result is what you can hear!
SUM: How many hours a day do you see yourself doing your magic in your studio?
CF: We are often in our studio, because sometimes you could have the inspiration right away, but other times you have to work hard to get it.
SUM: If you have the chance to collaborate with another artists, which one would be and why ?
CF: Without any doubt deadmau5 for his creative genius, Michael Woods for the melodies and Dyro for his powerful drop!
SUM: What are your favorite three tracks at the moment?
CF: Dyro – Sounds Like, Kiesza – Hideway (Dzeko & Torres Remix), Merk & Kremont – Amen.
SUM: What you guys do in a normal day ?
CF: – Rey: I sleep a lot and spend many hours in the studio. When I’m not in the studio I think about the melodies that I could create. I’m sick… HELP ME!!
– Niky: When I’m not at work im in the studio..usually almost 2 hours a day. I love try new styles!
SUM: When was the last time you went to an EDM concert or event as a fan? Not as a Dj?
CF: It was a few weeks ago, here in Italy. Many artists played that night, including our friends Merk & Kremont, so we went with them .. We do not remember so much .. ;-)
SUM: What are 3 thinks you can’t live without ?
CF: Music, Girls, Aggressive bass. In this order!
SUM: What is your biggest passion apart from music? Tell us a bit more about you as a person.
CF: – Rey: I have a big passion for football, in particular for futsal. I’m a simple guy, I enjoy spending my time with friends, I like beer, girls; I’m lazy and I do not read anything (only paramteri equalizer and the spectrum) ;-)
– Niky : I love the gym..but I like also stay at home watching some action films..better if with my girl! I spend my time with my friends too.
SUM: If you were lucky enough to win the lottery, what would you do?
CF: Dan Bilzerian’s life, of course..
